About Tasty ‘Aina

There is a special place in my heart for Hawai’i. Although it isn’t where I live (yet), every time I have the privilege of visiting the islands I feel like I have found where I truly belong. The spirit of aloha (which is so much more than just “hello” and “goodbye”), the values placed on ohana (family), the traditions and of course, the ‘aina (treats or food) are some of the reasons I love Hawai’i (the beautiful beaches, lush green mountains and valleys and ocean views don’t hurt either).

What can I say? I have a serious crush on Hawaii – the wobbly knees kind of crush that makes your chest fill with butterflies at the thought of it.

This is a chronicle of my adventures in Hawaiian food, culture, local jaunts… Even though I’m on the mainland, this is my space to remember what I love about them and discover even more.

Mahalo (thank you) for visiting this blog.
